More Bluey on the way

Get ready to lap up more Bluey.

The beloved Aussie animated kids series has been renewed for a second season.

Production has already begun on the series, which will deliver 52 brand new episodes.

Bluey has muzzled her way into the hearts of children and parents alike with its warm and humorous take on modern family life.

The show, which airs on ABC Kids, is based on a family of Blue Heelers.

In each episode, sisters Bluey and Bingo, mum Chilli and dad Bandit turn everyday life into extraordinary adventures.

Series two will see Bluey play fun and elaborate new games with her sister and Chilli’s relationship with her girls will be further explored as she juggles work and family life. Bandit, as always, will entertain with his dry sense of humour.

Bluey has been an huge Aussie TV success story.

It’s the number one children’s series on metropolitan TV and has clocked up 75 million program plays on ABC iview.

“We’ve all been amazed and overwhelmed by how Australians have taken Bluey into their hearts and we’re totally stoked to be making another 52 brand new episodes,” said Charlie Aspinwall, Bluey Executive Producer.

Bluey – which is created, written, animated and post-produced in Brisbane – is also about to head overseas. 

The Logie award winning show will be screening and streaming worldwide on Disney Junior and Disney+ later this year.

And in more good news for Bluey fans, three books based on the series will be available in time for Christmas.
